About the publication

About

A practical knowledge platform for building businesses: the depth of a business school, the readability of a great magazine, and the usefulness of an operating manual.

What we're for

We help people think like entrepreneurs, build like founders, and operate like experienced business leaders. We don't measure success by how much you read. We measure it by how much more capable you become.

Every important concept here answers three questions:

  • What does this mean, in plain English?
  • Why does it matter to my business?
  • Exactly how do I put it into practice?

Who it's for

We write first for aspiring entrepreneurs and first-time founders working toward their first customers. As the foundational library grows, we'll go deeper into operating, leadership, and advanced strategy for people already running a business, and into practical AI for anyone who wants to use it without becoming a technical expert.

Entrepreneurship is much larger than technology startups. A local service, e-commerce, consulting & agency, saas, and venture-backed business share core principles, but their funding, distribution, risk, and operations are very different. We teach those differences instead of applying Silicon Valley advice to everyone.

Two ways in

Search for an answer when you have a specific question, or follow a Founder Path when you want to work through a whole milestone and finish with something concrete, like a validation decision.

Who writes it

Our guides are written by Khalel Dumaz, founder of Vora IQ. Every guide carries a byline, and every source a guide relies on is listed at the end of it and in our source index.

Who publishes this

The Founder Almanac is published by Vora IQ, which makes software for building businesses. We think you should know that before you read anything we say about AI tools.

We recommend Vora IQ where it fits, compare it fairly with the alternatives, and label every piece that discusses it. Fair evaluations build more trust than biased rankings, and trust is the whole point. Read our editorial standards.
